What would I do without my mom......she is such a wonderful mother, friend and grandma....really she's the best. My mom is the most caring, selfless person I know. If there is something to be done for someone she is doing it.
I have so many good memories of living at home. My mom made my childhood and growing up years wonderful and I always knew I could count on her to be there for me whenever I needed anything. I appreciated that she was always home when I got home from school and had breakfast, lunch and dinner made every day. I knew that she cared about what was going on in my life and that she wanted me to be the best I could be. She was completely supportive and always came to every event I participated in, which meant so much to me. Having six kids never seemed to slow her down and I never realized how hard that would be until I had kids of my own. Most kids are so excited to move away from home after graduating from high school. I did move away but I could hardly stand the thought of being away from my family and home and I called my mom constantly. She always took time out of her day to talk to me and make me feel better. When I decided I couldn't stand it anymore she flew to Utah to help me pack up and come home. She never complained that it would be too hard because she did have five kids still living at home, I feel like I took her completely for granted. She always knew how to make me feel like I was the most special, and I know that she made each of my brothers and my sister feel the same way.
And nothing has changed now that I have a family of my own. My mom is still always there for me. She calls me almost every day just to see what I'm doing and I love that. The second she hears I'm going somewhere or that I have things I need to get done she takes my kids so it will be easier for me. When I had both of my babies she was so dedicated to me and helped me so much when I didn't feel like I knew what I was doing as a new mother. She came over every day for weeks to help me. She is such a good grandma and loves to spend time with all of her grand kids. I know still that I can count on my mom being right by my side any time I need anything.
She is such a good example to me too. She has a strong testimony of the gospel and serves wholeheartedly in every calling she has. She has helped more people than I can even count and is always taking a meal in to someone, cleaning someones house or just taking the time to visit with someone who needs her time. She is such an amazing person and the best mother I could have ever hoped for. I feel so blessed to be her daughter and am proud to call her my mom.
Mom you are the BEST mother in the whole world and I love you so much. When I grow up I want to be just like you! I only hope that I can be as good a mother to my kids as you are to me and that they will love me as much as I do you! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
