We had our ward Christmas party last week and our boys finally got to sit on Santa's lap and tell them what they really wanted for Christmas this year. Brig has been waiting and waiting for a chance to tell Santa that he wants a scooter and he finally did. He wrote his letter to Santa the beginning of December and it has been patiently waiting by the Christmas tree for Santa to see it ever since. Brig is so sweet and also wrote a letter to Santa telling him thank you for the presents he got last year. He keeps telling me he feels so sorry for Santa because he must get tired from staying up all night delivering all of the presents to kids in the world. He has been planning what snacks he will leave for Santa on Christmas Eve all month too. He told me last night he is sad for Santa because he probably doesn't even get presents for Christmas since he is the one that delivers them. I assured him that Mrs. Claus probably takes good care of Santa and gives him a gift or two. ;0) He is a thoughtful little boy.
Kanton was very unsure of Santa and I knew he would be. He still isn't even sure what to call him ~ Santa or Christmas Tree. It is pretty funny. But I figured he would probably start screaming and run away when it was his turn to sit on Santa's lap. Uncle Dan held his hand in line and gave him courage to do it though and much to my surprise he didn't cry! He still has that look like, mom what the heck am I doing sitting on this dude's lap and I don't think he even said a word sitting there but at least we got a picture and there were no tears. Next year he will probably be at the age where he can't wait to sit on Santa's lap.

The pics. are so cute! I'm glad Kanton handled it so well too. Brig is a sweet and thoughtful little guy. What a sweetheart. :) I'm sure Santa will mark your house as the favorite one to visit this year.
I don't think my kids have said one thing about feeling sorry for santa. Hmm, I think Brig is such a sweet boy and I'm glad he and Jacob are such great friends. I love the pics, and I love the look on Kanton's face too :)
Cute pics! What happy boys! I'm bummed because without a mall nearby or a 4th ward Christmas party, my kids didn't get to see Santa this year. Merry Christmas!!
Sister why the heck didn't i see you today? "this is christmas, the season of perpetual hope!" by the way be very happy to know that the roads were too icy for us to go back today so we are here for your enjoyment all weekend :)
