We are so excited that our new baby boy is here! There is nothing sweeter than a newborn baby. We went into the hospital early Friday morning after staying up late because I couldn't get to sleep. I was so nervous about everything I couldn't relax. After I finally got to sleep it was time to wake up and go. We got to the hospital and the nurses got me all prepped for the surgery and they wheeled me into the operating room. Then I REALLY got nervous, I don't know why I do that to myself. I always feel so much better when they bring Ray in to sit by me though. Ray was tough and watched the surgery. I kept asking him to tell me everything they were doing. It is such an amazing feeling when they finally get the baby out and I can hear him cry for the first time. There is nothing better than seeing your sweet little baby for the first time either. He is perfect. I thought he looked so small, I guess because I was expecting him to be my biggest baby since I got so big! But no, he is my smallest and he just seems so tiny to me.
They took the baby to the nursery and Ray got to go with him. That is the hard part....staying in surgery for another hour while the baby and dad are down the hall and having to go to the recovery room for an hour too. I was so excited to hold him I couldn't wait. They got me all set up in my room and brought him in and I finally got to hold him. He has so much dark brown hair, lots more than Brig or Kanton did.
Brig and Kanton weren't able to come to the hospital to see him because it is RSV season. I was so disappointed, and Brig was too, that they couldn't come and see him. That was hard not getting to have them there. They were so anxious to see him, they couldn't wait. Brig loves to hold him and be so helpful. Kanton wants to hold him and then about 2 seconds later he is done. They are both really sweet with him though.
It is so weird to me that I have three kids now. I just have to pinch myself sometimes. It makes me so happy to see them all together, I love them all so much and can't imagine life without them!
We are all glad it is all over and we are home now. We are doing good and completely enjoying Stockton. He sleeps most of the time so far and with TONS of help from my wonderful mom we are doing great.
