Green Eggs & Ham

Lately Brig has been asking me to make green eggs and ham for breakfast. I never really knew if he was serious about it or not but St. Patrick's Day came and I decided that was the perfect day for him to try them out. When he came downstairs that morning he saw a plate full of green eggs and ham and a glass full of green milk. He had an excited but very nervous look on his face when he saw it. He knew he had to eat it but wasn't sure he wanted to anymore. As for Kanton....well....the look on his face explains how he felt about it.

Kanton is thinking, do I really have to eat this mom?? And Brig is wondering why in the world he ever asked me to make green eggs & ham.

Brig decides to get brave and try them out and Kanton is staring in disbelief......

I finally talked Kanton into taking a bite and he was polite enough to force a half smile while trying not to yak. Brig ate his whole plate of eggs, while also forcing a smile. sort of. and.......

he has never asked for them since.

How funny! I've made my kids green food for St. Pat's day and they always turn their noses up at it too. I'm not sure that I blame them though--green really is only appetizing as a veggie huh??

How is Stockton??

That is SO funny! I've never even thought about actually making green eggs and ham! How do you do it? Food coloring? I guess I'm a pretty boring Mom. I love the looks on their faces! Kanton's REALLY had me laughing. Cute, cute boys :)
