Christmas Eve

Christmas already?????? Why is it that when I was little it seemed that Christmas took forever to come and now that I'm grown it seems to come at least twice a year???

We started Christmas Eve off with the Turley side of the family.

Uncle Dalon plays the guitar and sings really well and we were lucky enough to be serenaded by him. Nothing like breaking the newest brother-in-law into the family Christmas party by putting him front and center to perform for us ~ what a good sport he is!

Papa took over after Dalon and we got to enjoy his singing and guitar playing too! He had us make up a verse for each kid to Hey Laudy (the grandkids favorite song that Papa plays). They LOVED it!

After that we played our annual "candy bar game".

That is always a hit!

Stockton provided his own entertainment by taking a few too many candy canes off of grandma's tree.

Next we went to our Mills family party.
Grandma had all of the kids dress up to do a Nativity scene.

All of the kids participated and since there are getting to be so many, we ran out of proper nativity clothes....which meant a few of the kids ended up looking like gypsies~ oh well, what the heck!

Kanton wanted to be dressed up as "the king"....he wasn't sure which king he was but a very fine king he made.

So cute!

Papa read the story of the Savior's birth in the scriptures

The grandkids drew names between each other and got to open their gifts

After all of the partying was over we went home and the boys each
got to open a present before bed,
their Christmas jammies!

Then it was off to bed to try get to sleep so Santa could come!
