Big Doofwad

This is him.....big doofwad. Showing off his "cutest" smile and his self-combed hair.Kanton loves to comb his own hair and this is what he always comes up with. He likes it combed straight down and then he puts on his cutest smile to show how good he looks. I can pull him out of a cry most of the time if I tell him to show me his cutest smile, it is great.
Big brother Brig was kind enough to teach Kanton to call people doofwad and now he uses uses it on everyone. He says "good night dad you big doofwad" every night. When I try to wash his hair in the bath tub he says "go away mom you big doofwad". When he tell someone goodbye he says "bye big doofwad" and even people in the grocery store that try to talk to him he calls a "big doofwad". I have to admit I think it is pretty hilarious. Especially when I'm seriously trying to get him to do something and he won't cooperate and he says it with a straight face. I have to turn my head and try hard to keep from laughing.
Some other funny things Kanton has been saying:
*When he doesn't get the answer he is looking for from me (you know the yes one) he hangs his head down and says "ah man"
*When I ask him if we should call dad during the day he says "of course mom".
*When I ask him if he wants to go somewhere he says "sure" but it sounds more like shore.
*He begs to watch pa ponge pants (Spongebob Squarepants) all day long but it is never complete without a ba ba juice (sippy cup) and his horsey ni-night (blanket). When he is done drinking his juice he sucks his thumb while putting the yarn ties on his blanket up his nose and you can bet nobody else wants to use his blanket even if he would share it.
*When I try to help him go to the bathroom he says "no mom, I do it myself". So he does then he pulls his pants up, washes his hands and says "I'm not done" so we have to start the process all over again ~ while he does it himself, of course. Then if I'm not looking he loads the toilet with toilet paper or sometimes just throws the whole roll in. F.U.N.
*He always says "I wub you" and mom are you ready go?
*He calls going outside "I want go awide" and at night when he wants me to lay by him in bed he says "wanna way a me?" In the highest, sweetest voice.
* I wanna wick it means lick it
* Want some wunch? ~ Want some lunch?
* Awesome is awefome
I could go on all day with the cute things he says. It took him so long to start talking and now he talks like crazy and I love it. I have to ask him about 5 times to repeat himself most of the time because I can't understand him. I'm learning his language though and Brig has it down pat. We all love this "big doofwad", he cracks us up. And don't be offended if you run into us and he calls YOU a big doofwad, because most likely he will....and I will try not to laugh.

And just where do you think that Briggy Barr learned "doofwad"? That sounds like a word only you are capable of passing on haha!Did I tell you how marcus was calling Jack chach-moe (stupid spelling!)for the longest time but couldn't figure out where he pick that word up from. Who the heck does he thing gave him that? The one and only Y.O.U.

That is so funny because Jacob came home the other day calling everyone a "doofwad". I asked him where he got that name and he said that Brig says it all the time. He then said "I think he heard it on a movie or something, but isn't it so funny?" I have to admit, I was laughing at this too.

soo funny. Jessi says "Ah Man," All the time. They must have learned it from each other. He is getting to be such a Big Doofwad himself. So cute! Now Jessi stands in the doorway and won't let you pass and she will say "Gimme a smile" then she will let you go through. I think it is hilarious. I love this age.

I love it! Just tonight Dan told me that as they were leaving, he called out to Vern and said, "Bye bye Papa Doofwad!" It's too funny! He is such a great kid. Dan is always saying what a cool little kid he is. So true....
